About Me

Welcome to my website; I’m happy you’ve found me! Let me tell you about myself and my work. I have been serving all of Florida for over 30 years. With a doctorate from Nova (now Nova Southeastern) University and expertise in both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies, I offer a broad range of mental health services. Specializing in relationship issues, self-esteem, depression, and anxiety, I have also developed a focus on working with individuals on the high-functioning end of the autistic spectrum. The diversity of my experience allows me to provide tailored treatment plans for various mental health concerns.

When I began my clinical practice in the early 1990s, my primary influence was C.G. Jung. I was drawn to Jung’s depth and the spiritual components of his theory. Jung’s ideas resonated with my own values and worked exceptionally well with patients who were bright and curious about the unseen aspects of their lives. As years passed and I delved more deeply into my work, I became increasingly intrigued by the possibilities of combining therapy and mindfulness. I became certified to teach meditation through an exceptional course led by internationally recognized mindfulness teachers Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. My initial curiosity about its potential efficacy was consistently validated by rewarding results. Observing the increasing damage to the world, I recognized that the depth of suffering around us was generally leading people to one of two outcomes: either the grounding effects of some form of mindfulness and compassion – including self-compassion – or denial and burnout. I discovered that it is possible for all of us to experience tremendous joy even amidst a troubled world.

In recent years, I have also been drawn to the emerging promise of the clinical application of psychedelics. Specifically researching the therapeutic uses psylocibin and ketamine, I received a certification for integrating the ketamine experience in a psychotherapeutic setting.

I firmly believe that the key to successful therapy lies in the strength of the patient-therapist relationship. In an increasingly depersonalized world, this connection becomes even more crucial. If you are seeking a compassionate, experienced psychologist who values personal connection and employs diverse therapeutic techniques, please book an appointment now!
